ODCO Marketplace

Purpose
Scope and acceptance of terms

These General Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") aim to define the conditions for accessing and using the online marketplace (hereinafter the "Marketplace") provided by the Office for the Development of Cooperation (ODCO).

This Marketplace aims to promote products from Moroccan cooperatives and facilitate connections with consumers, without any direct involvement of ODCO in commercial transactions.

By accessing, browsing, or using the Marketplace, the user acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these Terms without reservation.

Definitions
Terminology used in this document
ODCO
Office for the Development of Cooperation, a Moroccan public institution responsible for promoting and supporting cooperatives.
Marketplace
An online platform provided by ODCO allowing cooperatives to showcase their products and communicate with potential buyers.
Seller / Cooperative
Any cooperative or union registered with ODCO that has an account to present its products.
Buyer / Visitor
Any individual or legal entity browsing the Marketplace or wishing to contact a cooperative.
Product
Any item offered by a cooperative or union on the Marketplace.
User Account
A personal space allowing cooperatives to manage their products (create, edit, delete).

Role of ODCO
Platform host and provider

ODCO solely provides the Marketplace from a technical and institutional perspective. In this capacity, it:

  • Publishes and maintains the platform;
  • Verifies the eligibility and identity of cooperatives or unions;
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulations.

ODCO acts as a hosting provider under Law No. 53-05 relating to electronic data exchange. It does not participate in sales processes, does not manage payments, does not collect commissions, and is not a party to contracts between sellers and buyers.

Access and Registration
Platform access conditions

Access to the Marketplace is free for visitors.

Creating an account is reserved for cooperatives recognized by ODCO, subject to validation. The information provided must be accurate and regularly updated.

Personal data is processed in accordance with Law No. 09-08 under the supervision of the National Commission for Personal Data Protection (CNDP).

Use of the Marketplace
User obligations

The user agrees to:

  • Comply with Moroccan laws and these Terms;
  • Provide accurate and verifiable information;
  • Not publish unlawful or inappropriate content;
  • Not harm the platform’s security or operation;
  • Not use the platform for illegal purposes.

Any misuse may result in account suspension or deletion.

Responsibilities of Cooperatives
Seller obligations

Cooperatives are solely responsible for the content they publish (texts, images, prices, etc.) and must comply with:

  • Moroccan laws and quality standards;
  • Personal data protection law (09-08);
  • Consumer protection law (31-08);
  • Copyright laws;
  • Arbitration and mediation laws.

Buyer Responsibilities
Visitor obligations

Buyers must verify all information before any transaction.

ODCO does not guarantee the availability, quality, or compliance of listed products.

Intellectual Property
Content protection

All platform content is protected by copyright laws.

  • Cooperative content remains their property;
  • Platform design belongs to ODCO;
  • Unauthorized use of ODCO branding is prohibited.

Personal Data Protection
Law 09-08 compliance

Users have the right to:

  • Access their data;
  • Correct it;
  • Object to its processing;
  • Request account deletion.

Data is never sold or shared with third parties.

Security and Confidentiality
Data protection measures

ODCO implements all necessary measures to ensure data security and confidentiality.

Modification of Terms
Updates and changes

ODCO reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Dispute Resolution
Jurisdiction

Moroccan courts have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.

Entry into Force
Effective date

These Terms take effect upon publication on the platform.
